WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Washington Post’s Early Brief highlighted CFFE’s innovative approach to organizing, which combines traditional canvassing with AI-powered editing tools to create authentic digital ads focused on real people’s experiences struggling with the high cost of living. By equipping canvassers to capture people’s stories and using AI tools to quickly edit and produce content, CFFE is bringing authentic local voices to the forefront of its organizing efforts across key states.
Sondra Goldschein, executive director of the Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy, told the Post:
“When we thought about the challenge of finding more credible and authentic ways to communicate with voters, we realized that we already had the answer, and that’s in the voters themselves [...] They’re unscripted. They are raw. They are real people. And so in a world where voters really don’t trust politicians and they are deeply skeptical of anything that feels contrived, these ads really lean into the rawness and authenticity that I think people are looking for right now. It’s somebody on the street in a place that is recognizable to you because it’s filmed within your community, talking about the issues that are top of mind.”

The Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy is fighting for a future where all people can afford to care for themselves and their loved ones. We do this by building political power to pass policies that lower costs for families, like paid family and medical leave, quality, affordable child care and elder care.
